Cleaning Up Engine Bay!
The engine bay on a FOX bodied Stang is not the most attractive. There are hundreds of holes in the inner fenders. It looks as though some one went drill happy at the factory. This had to go so all the holes were filled. Below are pictures of my progress. It would taketo long to write up a How To on using a welder or body work so I have basically shown what I did to my engine bay.

Before shot of inner fenders. Looks Like Swiss Cheese!
I counted over 100 useless holes in the fenders.

First step is to remove all the paint from the engine compartment as shown in the above
pictures and weld up all the unused holes.
The following pictures are the finish product after all the unused holes were welded and then skim caoted with body filler.

Here is the final product of the removed AC/Heater lines.

Shots of the inner fender wells after the holes were filled.

Here you can see I boxed the front frame rails. I later removed the sway bar mounts
although they still appear here.

Shots of the inner rear fender wells. This was the worst area to work in and will require
the removal of the brake booster.

Here are my front bars for the sportsman roll cage I installed.

In the above picture Iyou can see that I welded all the unused holes in the radiator support area. The overall look is nice and simple now.
